What did you read this week that surprised you?

What did you learn from this reading?

What do you take issue with?

What assumptions do/did you hold about this topic that may not be true?

What did you notice in the reading that is different than what you already knew or practice in your organization?

What do you note about how you think about your members?  Owners or customers?

The first self-assessment question is on federations. I did not find it covered in PPAM, Deeper Dives.  One can find it in Association Law Handbook, Chapter 9, pages 30-36. Federations are in the test bank. These articles might also help: https://www.asaecenter.org/resources/articles/an_plus/2016/april/are-federated-association-structures-becoming-obsolete  and https://www.asaecenter.org/resources/articles/an_plus/2019/february/beyond-mergers-find-the-right-structure-for-your-combination

Understanding Sarbanes-Oxley is important and in the test bank - Chapter 10 in Association Law Handbook, Chapter 10, pages 37-44.

The third self-assessment question is on associations: vertical vs horizontal, bipartite vs tripartite.  I did find one content card but nothing in any of the texts. If anyone can find this in the reading, please let me know?
